| chargingI charge with a Dymond Super Turbo at a rate of 1.3 amps on 1800mah 4.8v Rx pack and on the TX I charge 1100 mah at 1.0 amps.It is my undrstanding that you can charge nicads at twice there capacity so the 1800 would be safe at a rate of 3.6 amps, the only problem is that the switch harness is only good (the wires are only rated) for 1.3 amps or 1300 mah so that is why I use thes rates and as far as the Tx I use a 1.0 amp charge because I have heard of people burning out the charging jacks in the transmitter.I am trying to find out what rates everbody else is using and I spoke to several people who add extra leads to there Rx packs with deans con. and they can charge at much higher rates. The Deans plugs are rated up to 5 amps.I just think that that is too much work when I can charge my Helis in 6 to 10 minutes after running them down after five flights.(flights are 12 to 15 min.) |
