How many o-rings and what shore do you guys use? I just rebuilt the head, and 3 were in there ( each side) and I put back 3, one 80 shore, and two 70 shore. the head is way to stiff I think ( this is a rigid head), so I'm thinking I need to run 2, can that be done? It looks like it, in the mj manual.

I removed the o-rings on my MJ2's and replaced them with Vario o-rings. I didn't like how stiff the original ones were.

Mark. Would you have the part numbers for those Vario O-rings handy?

Yeah they're Vario 74/5 3X7mm soft o-rings. I talked to Joe at East Coast Vario about some softer dampeners and he suggested trying these. They are much softer than the stock dampeners and allow the grips to float more.

Initially, I was chasing a funky wobble below 1300 rpm. As part of my troubleshooting, I replaced the dampeners. I also changed paddles and was meticulous in setting up the head. I'm not sure which one solved the problem, but it doesn't wobble anymore.

I went by the manual. I'm using two of those black o-rings on each grips. Then two #46 washers right after to reduce play.

I got a rigid head from Gerd. Two O Rings each side on mine. You don't want soft dampners on a flybarless head.

Just to avoid any confusion, I accidently got a prototype headblock from Gerd (I was one of the first, if not the first with the rigid head, for whatever that's worth), which has 3 orings in each side. Gerd is sending me a new one. Thanks Gerd, that's why I stick with my minicopter helis!
