e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Blade 400 3D Need help with b400 won't lift off at full throttle

Hi,guys thanks for taking your time out to read this. I am new to this amazing hobby. I managed to hover successfully and crashed once. I replaced everything and balanced the swashed plate. Track the blades, etc. I kinda got dumb and messed with the Radio and now the B400 won't lift off at 3/4 or full throttle. Could someone please help this newbie out. I tried to set the default settings from Eflite but it won't budged. Advised on how to set up the radio to get the heli lift off at 3/4 or above. Thank you for your time and this great site.

After a rebuild like that make sure you didnt put one of the bleades on backwards. I know it sounds like a dumb mistkae but i made that one my self once and it will do the same thing.

You might have a Linkage installed backward, There are two see saw type deal near the fly bars, they're easily could installed reverse and heli won't take off. I'll check there first.

There are 4 links on the swash. 2 goes to washout.
2 are pitch links, make sure that pitch links are STRAIGHT. If they're cocked a little bit you won't get any lift either and you will know when it decide to lift off.

Figured it out...

For the noobs out there like myself that is dumb and green in this hobby...DO NOT put the blade grip in backward, or your heli will not lift off. Even the pros at the hobby shop missed this IMPORTANT point. Here are my flight hours:

1 week on the Walmart Havoc.
2 minutes total on the Flight simulator here and there.
2 days on the POS Honey Bee King v2. NEVER got lift off the ground.

Was hovering the very first day unitl battery pack goes near 10 volt. (6 minutes). I was all over the place but at least I hover it. YEAH!(3 times that day) The rest is history.

1st crash: replaced Feather,Flybar, main shaft, two cheapass stock servos.

2nd crash: replaced feather and flybar. NO servo damage.

The hardest that I find about this hobby for the noobs like myself is the setup on the head to balance and track the blades. The most hardest for me is understanding the Radio...I still don't know or confused about swash mix, pitch and throttle curve, and all the confusing options on the Radio.

Hope I contribute something for other noobs on here.

Ifs not for this RTF B400...I would have quit this hobby. My next goal is fly the T-rex 600 but it won't be anytime soon.

Thanks for everyone help...this is a great site!

Looks like you're just throwing money at the hobby instead of trying to figure out how to fly. You could have just do fine on HBK2, don't need to spend $400+ on Blade.

Its not easy hover as one might think.

I was throwing money when I had the HBK2..was spending almost $300 fixing and getting parts and still never got off the ground. The B400 gave me a second chance at this hobby and now I am hovering the B400 for almost 6 plus minutes every bat pack. For a noob that has absolutely no rc heli experience except fixing the dang thing...I would say the B400 is truely a RTF.

The sesaw link on my blade grips is reversed on purpose. You get more collective response and more maximum pitch that way. It lifts off just fine and in fact way faster and more responsive than having the links the "normal" way.

with 2 ears and 1 mouth you should listen twice as much as you talk
