Hey mate,

Where did you order the BW Stratus frames from?

It went together extremely easy for me. Just remember to cut to carbon tail control rod to length before you epoxy it.

There is no rear tail servo bell crank on the BW. That one cost me a little time. There is no PEM nut for the top hole in the rear frame stiffener because you use a frame spacer instead. From then on I was using Art's (Bison Flyer) gallery. He has some nice pics that really show you what you want to see.

Cheers!

Watch out for what the manual calls for. Some places require slightly longer screws to go through the double c/f and some of the spacers are moved also. print out the manual so it's easier to read and compare screws.

the sb16 isn't really the ideal pipe for that motor. the sb19 or the mp5 works the best.

paddles

Vpaddles are the way to go. I would also use vblades. Congrates on the new bird. BW Stratus is the best there is

Just do it.

I have 710SB on mine with 85mm vpaddles...quick but pitchy with any type of wind. Not good when going big but good for tight and quick stuff. Definitely quicker than 95mm vpaddles. I think I'll be switching back to 95mm.

Hey mate,

I certainly haven't flown the 770 on a Stratus before but have on other heli's. It is probably the best gyro that JR have ever released so far but when people go comparing the 770 to a GY611... doesn't sit! The GY611 will always have an advantage over the 770 in that piro-rates are still far more consistent and precision is still incomparable! I would personally go with the Futaba GY611 combo - with the BLS251 tail servo. It just seams to look after that tail a bit better especially with those 90's
