yes

with rudder. Mode one is not just a flip of the throttle, I believe it combos with left/right cyclic instead of rudder (I believe). Just the thought of it makes my head hurt. But I guess it's all in how you learned. I BELIEVE a lot of euros fly mode 1, but I could be wrong.

Mode 2 is what you are looking for - its the defacto US standard at this point. Throttle/rudder on the left, cyclic on the right

Mode 1 trades the rudder with the left/right cyclic (aileron) from Mode 2. Throttle and Elevator stay on the same sides.

Nigel Brown learned 3D in Mode 2, but then made the switch to Mode 1. That would be tough!

pilotdaz, wrong.
mode one right stick is aileron and throttle,
left stick is rudder and elevator.
mode two is right stick ail and elev
left stick is throttle and rudder
mode three is right stick throttle and rudder
left stick is ail and elev
mode four is right stick elev and rudder
left stick is throttle and aileron.
i learned mode 1 and switched to mode 2.
i can still fly mode one on airplanes just have to think about it. Ron
