Hi everyone, I'm trying to find courage to try some loops and rolls and meanwhile I would like to ask you if it would be better to remove the flybar weights of my Hawk Pro... I'm comfortable with FF, Figure eights, stall turns, nose in hovering...
Advise and comments appreciated.
Thanks.
David.

Yes - or at least move them all the way in and be sure your cyclic ATV's are maxed without causing any binding when you spin the rotor haed on the bench at full collective stick and at bottom Collective stick.
Also if you do not have a governor, be sure to add some aileron to throttle mix and some elevator to throttle mix (at least 40%)

I agree, remove the weights, get used to how it handles without them, and then give the loops and rolls a try.

Thanks Phil/Rob Roy, I will remove or move the weights. I'll try removing them first. Will it be MUCH more responsive without the weights? I mean there would be really noticeable difference?
Thanks again.
David.

Just add some 25% expo on aileron and elevator smoothing the controls close to centre stick and you will be fine. Won't even notice the difference.
You can slowly reduce expos as you become more proficient.

I agree,, move the weights all the way in, then fly it for 3, 4 or 5 flights or until you tell your self "ant no thing" then remove them..
