These hobby you have to learn repairs quick and the hard way too!! Did that happen to you? Did you have someone that help you out, or just like me manuals and inter net?

Manuals and internet. Also alot of trial and error, but you forgot the most important 3. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and patience. If you don't have those 3 you're probably not gonna make it as a helidude. The manuals and internet are just a bonus. You'll get it, it's tricky at first but soon it'll be second nature and you could do it with your eyes closed.

I feel the same on that deal. I also belive that building a machine gives you the ultimate understanding of how it works, how to tune it and how to fix it. Plus when you build your own you can taylor it to what ever flying you want to do strait away.

When life gets rough don't pick your nose or you might stab your brain!

I'll take that to mean it's back in the air?!?!?

Awesome!!

I knew you could do it!
And you learned a bit while you were at it. That's the great part to a hobby like this one!

Now, go fly that thing!

Helicopters don't fly, they beat the air into submission.

Blade 400 3D What's up with parts availability?

Is there a website that we can get parts for the 400? Because I'm in the same boat here! I went to 4 different stores looking for parts, mainly feathering shafts and they all said the same "we got them in order"
There a few things that I want to stock up just in case I hit the ground (again), because I'm learning and I need parts so I can go out and fly (try) and not have to worry about gravity taking over again!!

I'm still a newbie at this; I can fly a HBFP pretty well and absolutely with a Blade CP Pro. For me, the appeal of something like the B400 is everything is included; there are no surprises. I may have to upgrade some things, but I don't have to start from scratch with absolutely no idea of what I'm doing. Even the guy who had to rebuild his 57 Chevy started with a 57 Chevy.

I'd love to buy something other than a B400, but I watch the classifieds here and at other sites and see lots of nice helis advertised as "RTF", but they need battery, charger, receiver, transmitter; even gyros half the time. I'm always left with a feeling that I forgot to ask about something that may not be included. When E-Flite or E-Sky say it's RTF, it is.

The Blade 400 3D might not be built from the highest quality components out there but it is definately a nice tidy build straight out of the box and surely a bargain at the price.Take your time with it and make sure it is set up proper eg flybar paddles level, swash level, blades balanced just the normal stuff really and you will have one fine flyin little heli .Some of the vids posted on Youtube are just amazing and show what this thing can be capable of in the right hands. Great heli get to know it and you will love it.

You got it Helidown, I keep forgetting to mention that. I had a defective gimball on arrival. It almost caused a first 5sec of flight crash. A guy on another forum lost a bolt off the spindle, rotorblade stuck in the drywall. And of course there's always going ot be one loose jesus bolt in the bunch, we all know what that would do. Do what helidown said and tighten everything down. If a screw spins in half a turn or more with minimal resistance put some blue loctite on it. (for threads into metal and get a bigger screw if it threads into plastic)

Do your research and check your setup vids and instructions. They'll help bigtime. You're going to have some servo and tail issues, please don't just start a thread. There's at least 100 existing threads with ALL of the answers in em.

Yeah, what sinte said. I just re read my response and I meant if the screw is stripped in plastic, get a bigger one. If it's loose into the metal (you can spin it more than a 1/2 turn before it's tight) remove it, apply loctite and reinstall. Oops, poor typing on my end.
