Hello every one,

I am re-setting up my Trex 600 with my new DX7 and would like to confirm some governer gain settings.

If someone could give me some advise I would appreciate it.

Here is what I have;
-Trex600
-CC85HV
-8S, fully charged
-Nue 1515/3D (KV 1360)
-DX7 w AR7000
-188T main & 12T pinion
-Blades are in & all pitch curves set for 0 degrees.

My goal is to setup
normal = 0 - 2100 rpm, liniar
idle 1 = 1900 rpm
idle 2 = 2100 rpm

I followed the clinstone setup video and the CC instructions for setup.
eg;
-In heli, fixed endpoint. max throttle is 94% and low throttle is 125%. With these endpoints set I move the throttle to 75% and I get a resulting headspeed of 2060 rpm. Right where I think it should be.

Then I switch to governer low and;
-A throttle setting of 88% gives a headspeed of 1340 rpm
-A throttle setting of 93% gives a headspeed of 1650 rpm
-I calculate that 97% or 98% should give about 2000 rpm (but I didn't try it as I though this setting is to high) So I don't think I could get to 2100 rpm.

Assuming this throttle setting is to high, I switch to governer high and;
-A throttle setting of 17% gives a headspeed of 1750 rpm
-A throttle setting of 23% gives a headspeed of 2000 rpm

I remember that when I setup this CC85HV the first time I wound up in governer high & throttle setting of ~25%. But I also remeber talkinging to someone that you don't want to be below 50%-60% throttle because of the switching of the mosfets & the it would generating more heat.

So would be the correct settings? Should I stay in governer high with a low throttle setting??

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mat

In gov mode % does not mean much, if you get 2000rpm at 23% that mean the ESC is throttling at close to 75%, no problem for the FETs here.

Your gov mode is properly set, you did great.
