| OK I took off and did a couple of laps to get everything warmed up and brought it down to about 4 ft high in front of me. every thing is nice and it is hovering just fine....all of a sudden it sounds like I had a boom strike but I know that it can't be because I was hovering dead still in fron of me. Naturally it came down like a ton of bricks. I pick it up to see what happened and the top ring on the clutch had let loose and let the belt come off of the counter gear and jam against the frame stopping the blades dead. I guess that they collapsed and struck their selves. The clutch that I am talking about is not the stock plastic one but the metal one that they came out with as an upgrade. this bell has a flange on top to keep the belt on the cogs. The top ring let loose. Oh well it's been a long time since I have had a crash.....now where is that credit card? |
