Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > Time for a new raptor????

Dose any one else think that it is time for a new design from Thunder tiger??? The 90se and 50 and even 30 are old and need to be updated and reworked to come out with a new design. That is what I think. I know that why mess with a good thing??? Answer is simply to make it better. I think it is time for Thunder Tiger to completely rework the 90 se and the 50 and the 30 even. It is time for a new heli from them. I am probably going to sell my 50' and 90se's to make way for newer and better helis. So if Thunder Tiger wants to keep up they better come out with something new I think. Auto makers do it every 5 years and motor cycles do it every 2 years. so why not R/C helis 2. Let me know what you think

I would like to see a head that goes past 10/-10 pitch. Go watch some vids of GOOD heli flyers with the head mod done. They can fly with the best of them. Without eccpm, carbon frames or tt tail.

It's not the machine, the latest equipment but the nut at the end of the stick that makes the most difference.
The best quote to date.

The raptor is proven. Maybe a couple changes would be for the best. But a hole new heli. Im not sure on that
My 2 cents

I dont see whats wrong with the current design. It is a great flying bird. And I personally dont know anyone that can out fly one. That being said, the current design should have the already available upgrades in the kit(inparticular the 50) ie tailhub. And if I am not mistaken there was a slight design change not too long ago IE v1 to v2.

been discussed before...basically there a few among many who say a redesign is in the works....where as almost all have realized that raptor is a dying brand

Thanks

Don't really see a need.
The 90-3D is about flawless.
Maybe a Titan SE would be about it.
Everything else is pretty darn good

Only thing that needs to be re-designed is their pricing structure.

Dealers don't make any money on the helis, just the parts.

With align they make money on parts and the heli.

Want to sell more? Make it worth while for the LHS to sell them.

yeah

I know its a good bird but it can be even better. There is a lot of room for change. I love my raptors but I am shying away from them now with all the great helis out there and performance. Yeah every one has parts for it but I like change and I like upgrades. The raptor needs a change. I would really like to see them make a new design.

Are you capable of out flying these heli's?
I seriously doubt it.
So how would a new design benefit you/us?

Answer is simply to make it better
Are you willing to pay more. Keep in mind the raptor line
is a budget machine. It flys good without breaking the bank.

I agree. I don't need +14/-14 but +12/-12 would be nice

Certainly not because of design but because people are fickle and move on to different birds. Nothing wrong with that, but it is not because pilots can out perform their current model.

No

I am not going to say I can but I know one thing for sure is that My Vibe 90 and T-rex 600 and Vibe 50 fly way better and I can do a lot better moves with them. And yes a 12- 12+ would be nice. I am not saying that the raptor is a bad heli. I have owned many of them and love them all. I have 2 90 ses and now only 1 50 se left. I have flown them hard and they have seen there time in crashes as well. I must say they are very durable helis at best. But it is time for change. Time to keep up with the rest. Its like I said to keep customers interested you need to come out with new models. And yes I would pay more for a better heli. I am not saying anything bad about the raptor simply that it needs to be redesigned. Thats all. You don't sell the same models car for 8 years and expect buyers to keep buying it. Or a motor cycle. They go every 2 years. I think 5 years is way to long and the raptor design is older than that. The V1 and V2 are practically the same heli though. Nothing really changed in them. and that was about 5 years ago. Any ways is all I am saying is its time for change

You make a good case for the manufacturer. Keep up or lose sales.
That is a definite motivator for change.

I am confused about what you are looking for thou.
A better flying heli?
OK but you have three that fly better. Why then do you look to the raptor brand to come out with new product?

I say this because I can not afford to fly a Vibe or a MA.
The Raptor 50 and the 90 fit my budget. I understand you want a better heli from TT but guys like me need such companies

??

Align is cheap as well I think even a little cheaper. I am just looking for something new out of a long loved heli that is all. I have loved my raptors and just want a little change out of them. You get board with the same thing day in and day out. Its all about testing the limits of your skills and as you progress hopefully the heli should as well. every one has flown and knows everything there is to do with the raptors so I am only saying its time for something new. Keep it interesting. They can still be cheap and still make a new heli. Align is cheap, great quality and tons of upgrades. I do not want to shy away from my raptors but just want to be excited about them as I once was. That is all

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Maybe it's because I only have the budget to keep my Rappy 30 in the air, and not get something newer like a Knight 50 or (I WISH!) Blitz AVRO.
I'm not sure I understans when you say getting bored of the same thing every day? Do you mean that the Raptor cannot pull off the manoeuvres you want to fly, or that you've run out of manoeuvres and there are no more in the rulebook? If it's the latter, then no new helicopter would help.

Ultimate for me would be a turbine heli...

without changing it is dying.
I am the only one in our club still fly rappy 50, just cause i have a full kasama head.
The others just go to 600n, 600np, evo 50, cause they are cheaper, lighter, more pitch, more stable. what is the advantage of TT now? without kasama I wont keep the old body at all. It is not about my skill is over it, it is all about we need something new, something can compete with the new comers.
I agree TT is dying.....

No I like to mix it up really and I just wish there was a new raptor that is all. I still love my raptors its just I like the new designs out better so I think it mainly needs a face lift and a eccpm will be nice

I do not know how you can hate ccpm?? But every one has the preference I guess. I just would like to see what Thunder Tiger can do and I know they can do better. That is all. I am not knocking Raptors at all. I love mine still and I just want something new from them thats all

I wouldn’t say I hate them but I prefer CCPM over eCCPM any day. I don’t have a raptor yet but my current 50 is a 90 degree CCPM in a 3 servo configuration and I absolutely love the simplicity. So I agree with you as well in this aspect.

The simplicity of the raptor has drawn me to it. If they do redo the raptor I hope it stays as simple.

G force mixing arms or cheaper ways will get you there easy.
I think there are So Many Raptors out there that before they come out with another they should keep the existing fleet out there fully supported with cheap parts + upgrades. Many hobby shops are fazing out the Raptor and parts support. If they forget the past customers they will loose their future customers.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly better than I can pilot them
