Going crazy here. I was having troubles with mt head vibrating. I replaced the main shaft, feathering shaft, thrust bearings, blade grip bearings, upper and lower bearing blocks and 3 sets of blades and it still vibrates really bad. The blades are tracking perfect and I do not see it in the head but more in the heli its self. Has any one ever had this problem and if so what was it????? I have replaced everything I can think of in the head. Its completely new. everything is tight and tripled checked. I have all ball links to right and even sizes. So if any one knows what I am missing here or over looked can you please help me. Its a very bad vibrate and I can see it in the canopy and the tail. I have Torque tube on it and was wondering if the bearing in tail is nor center will it cause this??? Please let me know or any help will be great. Its a T-rex 600 nitro pro with O.S hyper and radix blades and all metal head on it as well. Thanks

When does the vibrating occur? Is it during spool up or at full idle-up. Sometimes you'll get more vibes when you're at lower RPMs. If you're still having problems at Idle-up, then it may be a balance issue. How tight are your blade grips? Very tight blade grips and low head speed are culprits of causing vibes. How about dampeners? Are you using the 3d head dampeners and low head speed? This can cause vibes.

You should try spooling it up without the blades to see if you get a vibe.

I would also check to make sure that your boom is not pushed in all the way flush. Sometimes if you do this, the TT can get bent within the boom and cause a vibe. I would pull the boom out maybe 1-2 mm (just so long as it makes contact with the tail drive).

Those are some things you could try.

OK

It accrues at full idle up. its ok at 50% any more it shakes. The more the worse. I have the 80 dampeners in there now. I have tried blade grips lose and tight. I will try the tail out and see if that helps. I have done everything I can think of but loosen the tail up. I also have not tried takeing the blades of but I have tried 3 different sets of blades and they all work fine on my pro its just my sport having the problems

I would check to see if the fan is on the motor straight. If you have the tools check the runout on the fan. That may be where it's at.

OK

I thought about that and was wondering if maybe one of my magnets fell out. would that cause it to shake that bad?? I will check it out

??

What about play in the fly bar cage?? It has play in it and my pro dose not have any play in it at all. Could that cause it?? even though it dose not seem to be coming from the head at all it seems like in the body or even motor. I have tried everything but the tail and its driving me crazy

What about the pinion bearings above the clutch bell if they are bad it can drive you crazy trying to hunt down a vib.Not sure if it is that but I would check.I had one go bad in a different heli a few years ago and I cant remember the exact symptoms but it drove me crazy trying to find out why it was vibrating.

I had similar issue, check the starting shaft, remove the
canopie & pull the shaft by hand, see how much play it has.
It shall be no more than 3/32".

Have you crashed?

It is possible that you bent the head block, I have done this on a previous helicopter and chased the problem and found that I had bent the head block were it connects to the main shaft.

You may also want to replace the 80 dampers, I found that they don't last past a few flights, try the 90 dampers with the sleeve.

Cheers MM.

Its not the

head block. I checked that. I am going to pull the motor and check the fan out and starting shaft as well. I pulled the tail out a little but did not try it yet. It was pushed up flush.I have ran down so may things and cant find it yet. I am regretting having to tear it all the way down as that could take Hrs. I will try anything. Oh and it dose have th e90 dampeners in there. I though they were the 80 but I replaced the 80. And yes it did hit the ground but I have replaced everything in the head and still no go. I thought it was the Main rotor housing being loses but that took the vibrating out of the head and now its more in the frame and tail. I was flying late and it got to dark for me to see it and it nose dived right into the ground. It broke the receiver mount and usual parts. Blades, tail, main, feather, etc. I have replaced everything I thought. But I guess I need to do a run down. I am sure something got knocked loose because it flew great before.

like I said check the fan runout. Also while your at it check the bearing at the top of the start shaft block. It's a low quality bearing and seems to get ruined in crashes easily.

OK

well I think again I may have found the problem. I am hoping it is in the Torque tube being so tight?? I am waiting on some parts to come in and will be trying it out again. I have checked everything and I see nothing else it can bee. If its not TT I will try everything else. I will completely tear it down and put it back together again. even in I have to put all new parts in it. Thanks

Problem solved

The Torque Tube bearing slid forward in the tail and was causing it to vibrate. I was seeing it the head and tail but of course it was a easy fix and now flies great with no problem. I replaced a bunch of already new bearings to try to fix this problem but I guess that is just a process of elimination I guess. Ok well thanks to all and I found it and I thought it may be that but was not sure. any ways thanks a lot

No

one bearing and yes I did CA it on. I was looking at the upgrade as in putting 2 on it. Is it that much better?? I may just do it if it happens again

2 bearings are not needed, just a firmly positioned single bearing. I use epoxy, but with caution to avoid getting any in the races. Never had a single issue.

Headspeed?? Maybe too low possibly too high? Probably isn't the cause but I know what it's like to try to hunt down a problem sometimes it's overlooking the obvious. Just my opinion, it might just help...

yes

you are right. I over looked the tail and should have went to it 1st but it seemed more in the head than anything so that is why I thought it was the head. I replaced all the bearings in the head and then noticed it was in the tail more so that is why I went with the tail. It was not obvious at all that it was in the tail. It looked in the head. But any ways its all better now and flies great. It had the belt drive on it and I put the TT upgrade on it so I am guessing I may have not glued it on good enough or I had it a little too loose or too tight
