one more request Leif.
Can you blacken the boom and tank mount and paint the canopy like you did before and stick it beside the initial proposed canopy?
please

The weekend's over and I need to get back to my real job.
I'll re-visit this later when I get some time. The V7 canopy has more area for paint schemes, but it's a lot of work to photoshop/paint and have it come out looking nice.

Now I have to agree that the V7 canopy does look really cool on it.
I think in term of the name of the new heli...
Freya is the Goddess...
How about something along the line of...
HIROBO Sphinx 90 HIROBO Medusa 90 HIROBO Ares 90 (Ares is God of War) HIROBO Zephyr 90 (Zephyr is West Wind)
Yes fantastic, now it looks like every other 3D w**k machine.
How original
But I suppose if it wasn't for individual taste the world would be a boring place

Very nice job Leif, I wonder how the conopy will loke if you make it a little longer on the back so it will cover more of the frames and mechanics. Eran.
On you Sceadu EX50 Looks great and has quality parts but, it;s to heavy compared with other 50's, so please keep the weight down since it's a redesign!!

Looks and frame aside...What about the head? The only angle on the head shown kinda gives the impression there will be hiller mixers on the grips (like MA & the CX programmable head)...I like that...Now if they get away from the see-saw style of dampening they will have me on their side. -ChrisW

Does this answer the question about the head?

I like the canopy that Hirobo is proposing even if it does look slightly "Vibe" like. One of the earlier revised canopies looked like the Robbe Millenium. It will be tough to tweak the canopy shape to not look like any other heli canopy but I think a couple of the suggestions are pretty good.
I think the Phoenix was used by the older Tech Specialties machine (which was formerly GMP).
As for other names..well, we tried suggesting names before and Hirobo pretty much do their own thing. I will admit that I've grown fond of the Freya name after initially not liking it. I think the name Lepton was a great name for the electric ccpm machine, maybe something along galactic/Roman/nuclear etymology would be appropriate for our new machine!
The new machine is really first rate in engineering layout. I knew they were on to a good thing when the Lepton was released and quietly wondered if they would take that design to the nitro models.
I am totally excited now as you all are....hurry up and bring it on!

The head is not a 100% "floating axle" desigin or teetering design. The bearings you see in the yoke are part of a spindle support placed inside the yoke to keep the axle from from moving anywhere but up and down. The yoke uses really unique progressive dampners, not just orings or dampners like previous designs thus giving a nice neutral characteristic yet firm feel when nailed.
That´s what i already told them. Also my favourite!
Regards Dominik
By the way this machine flies awesome

What about
Hirobo Einherjar
for a name?
This is inline with Norse mythology.
The einherjar were the bravest of the viking warriors that lived in Odins place Valhalla when they where slayed in the real world. They will fight with the gods on the day of Ragnarok when the Gods will go to war against the Giants and the forces of Hel.
