Location: Edison, NJ

I have uploaded new CAD pictures into our gallery of the up and coming Hirobo 90 3D machine as per Hirobo's request.

If you have any constructive points of interest you'd like to contribute, please PM me or email me directly.

Additionally, Hirobo is still looking for a name for this, so if again, if you have any recommendations, please PM or email me directly.

Hirobo has designed this machine specifically and only for the demands of American and European 3D fliers.

Currently there is no specific release date. As more information becomes available I will post it.

For now, please enjoy the pictures and the fact that Hirobo is on the path to reassert itself in this market.

Current Features list:
- New SSZ-4 Rotor Head: 30* collective pitch range
- 2-piece frame design. Standard G10, CF optional
- Newly designed clutch system
- Newly designed main gear
- Eagle3/Lepton inspired cyclic servo layout
- Front mounted rudder servo with 5mm linkage rods
- 100cc header tank
- Newly designed fan shroud
- Newly designed tail hub with 5mm grip shafts/bearings
- FRP canopy

That's all for now, Enjoy!

I would finally replace my fury with this! A single-stack frame (I don't count the fuel tank frames- they look trick, rather than a strap of velcro like on my fury), familiar head configuration, and I love how the start and main shaft bearing blocks, tail support blocks have mulitple anchor points. Also, no "wierd angle" swash levers here. I'm optimistically cautious about the tail pushrod.

My suggestion for the name:
Hirobo Strike
Hirobo Dash

or some made up words:
Hirobo Intenze
Hirobo Aphexx

In keeping with Hirobo's use of Norse God names:

Loki -

Loki, according to Germanic myths, was a fire god. He was the son of both Farbauti and Laufey. Loki was a trickster, a mischief-maker, and a shape-changer. Progressively, Loki grew more and more evil, until the gods finally bound and held him prisoner in a dark cave, until the eventual coming of Ragnarok, which is the end of the world. Perhaps Loki's tendencies towards evil can be explained by the fact that both his parents were giants. It seemed way beyond his control to quit playing dirty tricks or even to stop exposing the other gods to danger. Of course, Loki was extremely intelligent and would always save them, just in the nick of time. Easily bored, Loki loved playing tricks on the gods and putting them in dangerous situations. Oftentimes though, it was Loki's own quick wit that got the gods out of trouble again.

Sounds like a god that would love some hard core 3D

I like the look of it mechanically, I just don't like the look of the canopy. Can you use a standard Freya canopy with it?

I take it that's the expensive sprag auto hub in there?

I have never owned a Hirobo but I like the quality of them. From what I can tell in the pictures, it looks like a very simple, easy to work on design. It actually reminds me of my Stratus. I like what I see!

The only thing I would highly recommend changing, just as Syn has stated, is the canopy. I feel if you make the canopy more in line with a Synergy, an Aurora or even a Vibe 50 canopy, you will be far more successful. People like a sexy looking canopy and unfortunately in my opinion, the canopy shown is not sexy at all. You would be surprised how many people will not buy a heli because of how it looks. The canopy is very important to many of us.

Currently flying:
Trex 600E CF, Trex 600N Pro, BW Stratus, Aurora soon!

cool i like it. but as stated above the canopy could be a little more streamlined. although as it is right now the canopy is in line with typical Hirobo styling, the windscreen looks very familiar.

MRC....I like the heli and own an x-spec freya and a sceadu evo. I absolutely hate the clutch setup and much prefer the trex way of doing things. About a 10th of the time to set up and smoother! Has the redesign got rid of the need to dial in a start shaft?

Also I agree with the others 100%. Like the design from what I see but man that canopy looks awful. I also wouldn't buy on the strength of the looks. Change that canopy to something sleeker. I like my freya canopy. Kinda looks fat and sluggy like a JR canopy. The aurora (meaning myth) and the synergy show more class in this area. If it looks fast....then it goes fast.

Hey not bashing. Hirobo is top quality....just hoping you guys may take on board what your customers want to reassert yourself into the 3D market.

I just took another close look at it to see if I was being unfair....nope sorry MRC....that canopy is butt ugly.

Never liked backwards skids either and do they need to be soft mounted? I like a lower look. Rest of it looks good.

I did not even notice that, but that also has to be changed.

Nice!

Torque tube tail.

Please ditch the soft mounts on the gear.

Cut the canopy down some. It seems "tall".

And this might be out before the Aurora

Look, everybody wanted the Aurora because it was so damn sexy. So copy the basic canopy and along with Hirobo's reputation, you will have a winner. I looked at your heli's when I was in the market, but I just could not get past the canopy.

Here is your chance to re-insert Hirobo into the modern day look. Sexy and sleek is what we want.

Sexy!

Butt Ugly!

Canopy

That's too funny!!!
I was also looking and admiring the new design, but then I took a closer look at the canopy and also thought that it doesn't go with the new sleek concept. I wasn't going to say anything until I noticed everyone else intuitively thinking and saying the same thing!!
Maybe something like the Aurora/Synergy but with some distinct Hirobo styling!
As far as the name, I know Freya is a Norse god but Sceadu appears to be an old English or Anglo-Saxon name meaning "shade", so I'm not sure if you couldn't go with a different type of name.
If you want to stay with Gods, the Romans have some cool names:
Morpheus
Zephyr
Nemesis, or my favorite,
Helios

Hmm, Its the New.... Hirobo Nemesis 90, or Hirobo SST Eagle Helios 90

Otherwise, nice work Hirobo!!

As for the name, FREVO 90 sounds nice.

Honestly....listen to us and you shall be rewarded. We are the market. It is very good to unleash a concept on us and allow us to comment as you will no doubt make changes and cause this heli to be a success.

Just copy the Aurora canopy. They based the avant on the freya so I am sure they wont mind you copying their's and changing it 5% and calling it your own. It's the look we want. Anyway....the Aurora doesn't exist.

If those are soft mounts....they don't work and are not needed. Extra stuff to go wrong and increase cost. Please redo the skids...it has the same look as a raptor when people put the skids on backwards to stop the tail hitting and it just doesn't look right.

Here is a quick photo shop concept. It is by no means perfect but just trying to give you an idea of how much better this heli could look.

OK, I am in the RV business and the following are RV model names but most of them I feel would work very well as a name for the new flagship.

Hirobo

Inspire
Allure
Intrigue
Vectra
Horizon
Journey
Marquis
Thunder
King Air
All Star
Revolution
Discovery

P.S. Do we win a prize if you pick one of our names? Maybe a new Hirobo?
