I just bought a used logo10 with a hacker c50 15L with a hacker master 48-3p esc.It came with 14cell nicads 3300 and flys fine.My queston is can I fly lipo's withthis set up and I have no book on the esc will I have to change timing gov mod etc.any help Thanks

do yourself a favor...

Sell that motor and ESC...and get a Century 600 plus motor and a cheap used align 75A esc...you can get the motor new for about 100$ and a used esc here for about $50

I use this combo in all of my Logo 10's and the are pretty kick as$

Jag why?? arent hacker motors good.I see people selling there aligh stuff and buying hacker stuff,esc etc.Please explane Thanks

Hackers...

Hacker motors tend to run VERY hot and are very inefficient power pigs...besides the fact that the motor you have in your logo is a very high KV(1624Kv) and was designed for 4s or "Box" Applications(gear reduction 2:1 setup)for 6s

The hacker ESC's suck also...at least I think so..for 50$ you can get an Align 75A esc and you'll be fine...much easier to program the Align one also...

I know the align 75a esc's work well because I currently use them in 3 of my 5s and 6s machines and have probably 400-500 flights on them without failure.

the Century 600 plus is an 1100KV motor which is perfect for 5s or 6s logos...on 6s the Century makes some KILLER power.

once again this is my opinion...

I have tried most every motor out there and have settledo n the Century 600 for the logo 10's...it's my overall favorite

When you say designed for 4s are you saying 4cell lipo,I thought it would need at least 5 cell lipo?? and it does run hot,but I've only ever run 14cell nicads with it.I just PM'ed a man about a 5cell 3300 used pack.I'm not howard hughes and thanks for the info

Hacker...

When building and/or changing an Electric heli you really need to consider a few things up front...

KV of the motor?
Lipo cell count used?
Drive gear ratio?

so in this case...you have a 1624Kv motor...and run it on 5s lipo..you end up with 30,044rpms...

Now you have a 200t main gear...let say you run a 15t pinion ..you'll get a drive ratio of 13.33

Now you take the 30,044/13.33=2253RPms at 100% headspeed...realistically you'll probably see about 2100 or less on the head...this is a good place to be...

But if you wanted to go with 6s the motor RPM's would be too fast to get a workable RPM...



NO---the Trex 500 motor is not good for the logo...and the ESC is not good for the logo either..
