Look a little closer, that's the slot for the flybar to pivot in. Look at the side, there is a bolt there for the flybar carrier pivot bearing.

Shaft drive eh. I thought Belt were way to go, Belts do have more loss then Shaft.

I got to see it fly at mayday and talk to curtis about it. Looks like its going to be pretty bad ass. It almost beat a t-rex 600n in a drag race. I got to see it crash too. It didn't break much and it went in HARD too.
If you go to events and look up mayday funfly you can see a video of curtis and jamie doing a demo with them.
