Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > Hyper hub or clutch?

Anyone had a bent hyper hub after a crash? I crashed my N9 and bent the crank and pulled the start shaft out of the clutch. I replaced the crank and it is good on the dial indicator. Then when i install the hub and clutch the clutch is out by 6-7 thou at the bearing collar. Has any one had a bad clutch from new? I would not think the Hyper hub would have gotten bent but maybe? Anyone had this happen to them? Thanks Kevin

Hi

With a bent shaft and a ripped clutch, i am not surprised to hear your hub is bent.

But to answer your Q, no i have not seen it done....

Paul

Yes, this can happen! Check the runout of the hub on every installation.

I do check the runout on ever instulation. This is how i found out the hyper hub got bent. It is 5-6 thousands out. It was not out so much up and down vertically, but you can see the clutch is no longer centered on the hub when dial indicating. SO i ordered a new hyper hub one of the new light weight ones. Cann't wait to get my N9 back in the air. I love this machine.
