^well...we do have a grading system based on feedback.

AS for starting a bad guys list...ist just a matter of starting one in the off topic section and keep adding names to it along with any and all information available from the scammer...hopefully it might help some.

Make it so #1.

bad guy list is a no go..

Mark has stated this fact a number of times... and he has good reasons...

A ranking system however could happen and really needs to.

The good guy list is a backwards bad guy list with holes for those who have not sold anything.. I use this tool a lot to figure out a person. The only problem lies when they have few or no feedbacks.. then I look at post counts and read some of what they have said.. if it is all smart a55 comments then I stay clear.. if they give good input and seem to be adding to the community then I will give them a shot with no feedback.

A ebay like ranking system would be good.. minus the positive feedback blackmail that goes on over there

I don't know if anyone could ever get that system to work. I have bought/sold around 30 items on ebay and I always give positive. Sure a few times I wanted to give a neutral but i was too afraid that I would get a retalitory neg so I just said "AWESOME A+++" - you know the drill and gave them a positive. Is it really worth ruining your reputation for 10$? Its usually the cheaper items that have bad sellers.

We have that feedback system on rccanada forum, and it seems to work ok, but of course there isn't anywhere near the exposure of traffic that this site has.

No updates so far, hopefully Jesse (the one who was robbed here) can chime in this thread if he gets anywhere with his bank or Paypal

No offense to any of the good guys here, but at the fields in this hobby that I've visited, I usually find that in general alot of the frequent field flyers are rather scummy, usually fly crap and a lot of them seem to be unemployed.

At fun flys most guys seem to be accomplished people and legitimate but its the guys who just lurk around the fields all day and week long are the guys I'm weary of.

I knew this one guy whos wife would drop him off at the field at 6am and come pick him up at sunset,,everday,,like a daycare of something,,he was 40.

My fiancee asked me why there is so many shady characters shes seen at the field, I just tell her for some reason this hobby really does seem to attract some scummy scamming guys.

Well, here's an independent place you can go to post and check on people. Probably a good place to post about this guy at least.

A little update here, my flying buddy's bank denied the claim, and paypal pulled the usual "since that person withdrew the funds, we cant get them" line. So it is pretty much lost for him, unless this guy grows a pair and mans up to his responsibilities.

There may be a chance, because of the info in this thread, that he may try to get the local authorities involved - so who knows where is will end. Lomo, just grow up and take care of these guys - really cant call yourself a man of any sort until you do.

Oh well, I believe that what goes around comes around and this guy will eventually rip off somebody that will make his life worse because of it. Hopefully he changes his ways before then.
