Tools and Field Equipment > Triton 2 charger or Integy?

I am trying to decide which charger to buy as a second (or backup) charger to the Ice charger I currently use. The Triton (lists $125) or the Integy 16x8v6 Dyno2 (Lists $229). I will never probably never use the cool DYNO feature?

I am pleased with my Ice charger, but find myself waiting for a battery to finish charging before I can hook up another.

My hobby dealer wants to get rid of this charger. Apparently it is not a fast mover. I know the Integy charger is a MUCH better value, especially buying for the same price, but it is limited to 3S Li-PO's. Even though I do not fly anything more than 3S 2100's in my TREX and an airplane, I do not think this would matter to me. The Integy can charge up to 8C on Li-Po's (not that I would charge more than 1C). But it seems that EVO's and maybe others are now capable of charging at 2C. Possibly in the near future, greater than 1C will be common. The Triton 2 will only do 1C charging, so I would be limited by the Triton for the future.

I am looking to buy this for "mostly" charging my ten 3s 2100's. It would be handy if I needed to charge my NiMH and NiCD's which it will also do. The Integy does not have memory like the Triton does, so each battery change requires setup again. The big plus for the Integy is that it has 110v built in. The Triton does not.

If you have experience with both, please let me know which one you would choose. Or would you choose another brand and model?

Thanks for everyone who comments.

I had the Triton2, nice charger but got rid of it and upgraded to a Bantam BC6. Its a little more, but well worth the $. Does everything the Triton will do , plus more and its a AC/DC.

Id check it out.

I have the Triton2 as well, it suits my needs but the DC input makes charging batteries at home a pain. Seems to me that an AC input would be a no brainer when designing a charger

A "fixed wing" is just a seized rotor...
