Did a forum search on altairnana and nanosafe, but didn't catch any results. Forgive me if this has been posted before.

It appears to still be a prototype product, but perhaps somebody here has seen these or used them:

10 minute recharge time, no risk of fire, higher energy density and a lifetime in years with 10K+ recharge cycles. Sounds like the perfect batter for an electric heli. Wonder if someone here who uses electrics could convince the company to allow you to test run some of these batteries to see how they compare.

if i rememeber right they couldnt handle the current draws of our helis and would go dead in a minuute. might be a realality someday for us but not soon

A couple of car companies apparently are already building electric cars using these batteries. However their websites do make me wonder about the 10 minute charge claim, as to do that they require a "Off-Board High-Power 250kW Charger required for 10-minute charge"
