I am thinking of upgrading my 9CHP to FASST and have a question I just can't seem to find the answer to anywhere.

If I buy the 8 channel module/receiver set, can I later use the FASST 6 and 7 channel receivers? The obvious reason is cost. I do use 8 channels on some models, but not most. If I have a plane or heli with 6 channels, why pay $140 for an 8 channel receiver when the 6 channel only costs $60 or the 7 cahnnel for $100?

I would think they would all work, but I would hate to spend the $$$ to find out I am locked into $140 recievers for each model.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks, I don't know how I missed that. Bummer the 6 channel receiver won't work, it's like 1/2 the price of the 8 channel and most my models use 6 or less channels.

Look at it again. The TM-8 is compatible with the R616FFM, R607FS, and R617FS receivers when used in "7 channel mode".

Problem is the 616 takes micro connectors, not Futaba/Jr connectors.

So your best bet is probably the 7 channel Rx.

I don't understand why Futaba doesn't make an affordable 6 channel receiver with normal connectors.... Hopefully that is coming.
