Now if Horizon would just the kits in stock I would be in good shape. My LHS orders through Horizon so I can't receive my backorder until Horizon gets the kits.

Horizon does get them in stock! They are all shipped to hobby shops that have the kits on backorder first before they will post them on there own website. Hobby shops always come first!
If your LHS has the kits on backorder with there on-line ordering account they should be receiving there order as the kits come it.
