I checked out the Phoenix model last night. It's not bad, not bad at all! Thanks Phoenix! I was still contemplating if I should volunteer help to get the model made but the guys saved me alot of troule now that's a fact. Heheh

I didn't need to tweak much to get it to fly like mine so ya the creators did an excellent job no doubt. I just upped the cyclic response to 128ish and loaded a few hundred grams so it feels more like my heli here at 4,5'k ASL. Excellent stuff! Guess the Knight 3D on my Phoenix is not going to see that much action anymore.

Thanks for the great work. A chance to try the Vibe 50 virtually.

Quite stable and the cyclics are ok, but less snappy than the Trex 600 on the simulator.

No experience with the real one ..... YET

I guess they used the stock paddle weight for the model...

try using Spacey's method:

Well let me put it this way. If I hold my finger (Pinching the stick) in front of the pitch stick to limit the front flip so it doesn't load up the heli too much I can do 10 consecutive front flips in 17,5 seconds. It rolls even faster and obviously flips faster but then you gotta manage it. Motor is still run in by a long shot so not making full power by any means.

On the sim the stock model at 100% default sim time takes 20odd seconds to do 10 front flips.

Hum, I guess I have to time my flips to see how it behaves

10 in 17.5 seconds you say?

Correct. I can't wait for my motor to run in properly so we can see what she'll really do. Hehe. Should be interesting no doubt. I'll go another two or three gallons and get tuning on her again. I'm guessing though we'll end up around the 15second mark, that should drop down to 13 or so at sea level. LOL And that's around the point where I'll not be able to keep up.

I can't use superstubz at sea level (12.9gr). Too twitchy

I'm using V paddles (14.1gr) which feel perfect for me.

Which do you guys like better for a sim? Realflight or Pheonix?

I sold RealFlight in favor of Phoenix. The helis on Phoenix fly much more realistic than RealFlight. I would give RF the edge with regards to planes. Overall, I am very happy I switched to Phoenix.

Ya Phoenix all the way for me as well. Sold my AFPD last week. I thought initially the planes in Phoenix weren't all that amazing myself compared to AFPD but soon changed my mind as I used it more and just tweaked a few things here and there to suit the style of models I fly. AFPD couldn't keep up anymore and Phoenix had the edge. Realflight having an edge over Phoenix on the planes? Suppose you could argue that but my opinion is Realflight's planes sucked royally last time I tried G3? But ok suppose it depends on what you fly.

I'm not saying RealFlight is good for airplanes, but they just felt a tad more real than Phoenix. That said, Phoenix is still the better simulator of the two. Just my opinion.
