If it's time to upgrade then 9303 is the way to go. DX7 is a good radio, but is mostly popular due to the fact that it was the earliest 2.4GHz radio with a good feature set. But the 9303 wins hands down as far as feature capabilities and quality.

Coming from a 10X, I'd think you would be dissapointed with the small screen and abbreviated words when programming a DX7. The 9303 has 2 more channels (don't know if you'd need them or not), better mixing capabilities and features like delayed throttle hold release.

If you know you won't need more than 7 channels then go with the Dx-7 otherwise go for the 9303, which ever though buy what you can afford

If you don't (or don't always) use a governor, the 9303 has a dedicated program for cyclic/rudder -> throttle mixing.

It only takes a few minutes to setup, and couldnt be easier. (I have a hard time setting up regular programmable mixes)

The DX7 doesnt have it.

Setting up a helicopter with the 9303 can easily be done in about 5 minutes, start to finish.

With the menu layout of the DX7 and abbreviated text, I had a hard time doing it in 20-25 minutes.

Hi Saleh

I have the DSX9 and DX7. Both are great radios. The DSX9 has a few more features and programing options. The DSX9 has 2048 vs 1024 on the DX7.

If cash is an issue, buy the DX7.....otherwise get the DSX9.
Try find a shop that will sell it without the servos. They are no good for 50/90 sized helis.

Regards
Paul

ps: the DSX9 and 9303 are very similar.

X9303 so you don't waste money like I did with the DX7 and now replaced with X9303.

One of the features I like best is that the list of all the settings menus is on one screen. I don't have to think which way to go in the menu to get to where I want to be. The DX7 is a nice radio and I owned one since it first came out. I have given the DX7 to my son that just starting flying helis and I moved up to the 9303 2.4. I think it was a good move. Chuck

Great point. When I upgraded from the 8103 (similar to the DX7), I first loved that too. Now I take it for granted. Navigation and programming on a 9303 is a dream.

Hi guys

The one thing i miss on my DSX9, that was on the DX7, is the P-Link buddy box setup. I fly mode 1 and must guys fly mode 2 over here and this way we can fly each others helis and do training without setting up the second radio.

Like most everyone else, my vote is for the X9303.

I am currently flying one and I love it. Daz, I also upgraded from the 8103 and the menu list screen was a favorite feature of mine, too.

I don't have too much experience with the DX7, only flown with a buddy's a couple times, but I absolutely love my X9303. I would never settle for anything less now. BTW, the 2048 resolution is nice, but you only get 2048 if you run the 9 ch rx with it.

If the DSX9 is exactly the same as the X9303, which I'm pretty sure it is, then you have that feature. It's not called p-link, but you can go into your training menu and set all 4 channels as "slave" (from memory, I'll double check the specifics later), and this will function exactly the same as what you describe.

Basically it allows your slave to not be programmed with throttle curves and all the other settings, but it just defers basic stick movements through all of the master's radio settings.

Yep, just double checked my 9303, you just set all 4 channels to "Slave" in the trainer menu and you now have p-link set.

Heh.. all this talk about slave's reminds me of southpark.. Mr Slave!

Hi PilotDaz

Thanks for the info. Does it work with all JR radios or only with another 9303 ?

or better still with a DX7. Most of the guys here in Dubai use the DX7. We had major frequency controle issues......

Sorry, i will get of my lazy but and go test it.....i have a DSX9 and a DX7.

Thanks for the heads up
