It was nice seeing so many Synergys at Huntsville this weekend. And man were there some beautiful canopies. When I saw this one going by it took my breath away. Most beautiful helicopter I've ever seen. It really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. Just thought you might like to see:

I talked to the owner today when we had a Synergy group picture made and he didn't say what it cost him but Arizona Canopy done all of the paintwork. It is very slick and it does get flown, it's no shelf queen.

That looks very nice! I don't think it would be that hard to paint the boom and landing gear yourself would it?

Nick
If the wings are travelling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter

The landing gear might be dyed not painted. I think the flexing of the landing gear would cause the paint to crack and chip.

I have dyed lots of landing gear and etc. RIT Dye works great. It will never come off. You heat water to 150 degrees and then mix in the RIT dye (powder or liquid) and then put in landing struts and etc. and let items sit submerged until everything is ambient temp. About 2-2.5 hours. The tail boom he must have painted. I like it!!!!!

I'm not big on painting booms either, matching tail fins are cool. Nice looking setup there though.

Matt's style is really evolving. Lots of big air maneuvers, not just all stick banging. Very impressive indeed. Here's a couple of pics since you asked. The N9 in front is Matt's. Team Synergy sure made a big impact.

That is one of our local club members, and I believe the cost of the whole paint scheme was $350, and as for it getting flown, the only time I've seen it in the air was at the Huntsville Funfly this last weekend. It does look very nice though.
