the rope on my 450 is some were around 2.5mm-3mm, you probably want to go as thing as you can on the rope especially on a small heli.. its all super bright..you just want it as light as possible

dude..wheres my heli?????

yea, thanks, I found some 2.3mm then that will work, ans I guess its a little box from align that can control 2 cold light strings with the little red plug on it, can I use this and if so what do I do to use my esc and regular flight battery?

I didn't use 100% cold light string.. part of it is high intensity LED's

TAIL SECTION
1 meter on the tail including fins.
6 low intensity red LED on the tail boom brace
1 high intensity green LED on the tail fin

SKID
4 high intensity blue LED's wrapped with clear heat shrink (which gives fiber optic effect)

MAIN FRAME
1 RED LED
2 high intensity white LED's mounted on the battery mount (as you can see the dragon decal is glowing

CANOPY
30cm light blue cold light string (winshield)
1 meter green cold light on the edges
45cm orange cold light on the blue line edge
drilled couple of holes in the winshield so the light from the LED on the battery mount..

-the glow driver power supplied from the ESC (6v)
-Receiver from UBEC (5v)
-LED's powered directly from balance lead (3.7v)

BLADES
MS composit 325mm

close up picture coming soon....

my night rig was as follows

2 blue 1.5mm on the boom and tail
1 orange 1.5mm for the landing skids
1 green 1mm for the canopy
2 glow drivers
1 tp 2s 740mah bat

one glow driver was for the two blue ones and the other one was for the landing gear and canopy.i soldered both leads of the glow drivers to one deans connector to connect to the battery for power.there are diffrent ways you can do the set up but this way is safer.

wife said" either its me or the helis"...damn it was sad to see her go!!!
