Hi guys,

could you post some pictures of your T-Rex450 with the night gear installed?

I was wondering what lengths of cold light strings I would need and the number of drivers and locations for them.

What battery are you guys using to power this setup?

Thanks a lot.

This is all I have right now but I will get some more later (yes I know that the tracking is off :rolleyes. I am using the 1m light string, one for the canopy and one for the tail boom. Both strings are connected to one driver that i mount inside the canopy. The string on the canopy can be either wire tied or hot glued on, wire ties look better but the hot melt glue takes a lot less time. The blades are the standard align blades.

a good set up would be for color wise is two blue cold light strings on the boom and tail connected to one driver.then you would want have orange on the landing gear and a ulta green for the canopy connected to another driver.i just seen this set up at mha funfly and am currently working on my set up.ill post pics as soon as i get it done.

Great. I was just going to post this question also!
Do the drivers power from the motor Lipo? or do you need another small lipo on top?

Most drivers come with the connector that usually connects to a seperate pack via a JST type plug. If you choose to run off the ESC, u most probably will have to cut the battery connector off and solder the wires to the ESC leads.

Or, you could just run a small 2/3S lipo to run the wire.

Or, you could run a seperate lipo for the glow as I mentioned in the line above, and tap off that to run 11.1v (if your using a 3S) to power the K&B tail blade LEDs

LOL!!!!...well if you really want ot know its pretty funny

BING UP SIDE YOUR HEAD!!!!

kind of a head hunter thing

so like mech was saying you can do either way run it off a seprate lipo or haveing to cut the leads in half to run it off your lipo battery

Thanks, I just don't know what it is about the tracers but I can't get enough of em. I'm not set up yet for night flyin. But I have to say that it is something that I am very much looking foreward to. Night heli's are without a doubt (for me anyways) the wierdest and coolest looking things I have ever layed eyes on.

Do you ever wonder how many ufo stories have erupted because someone was out night flying thier heli?
