Kids:
The weather is getting great now!
I have my new Bergen OS50 up and running
quite smoooooooth thank you!

I am running the fac stock TR blades, running
to the stops on the tr shaft.

My problem is that I need more Tail Authority
due to the rather slooow pirouette rate. It's really
slow. It is not a gyro issue. 501 on a Hitec 545
in HH and normal. TR pitch will go to the stops
and It 'feels' like it needs to grab MORE air.

I have not measured the stock TR blades but
what do you Bergen freaks recommend? Longer Blade
wider chord? (Positive Futaba Exponential!!!!>)
Hit me with some suggestions.

Hi,

I have had a 501 in the past and have found that if you want to up the pirouette rate then you need to up your ATV travel value on you rudder channel in the transmitter. How much are you running at the moment? Factory setting is 100% try uping it to 120% both ways and go from there.

I agree with steviewonder33, check your gyro settings. I have the stock setup on my 46 and haven't had any trouble getting blinding piro rates.

I got a 502 on my gasser and I had this happen. I had been limiting the throw through the ATV's, which is completely wrong. Use the travel limit in the gyro and turn the ATV all the way back to 100% in the radio.

Piro rate speeds up...

Thanks for the ideas gals and guys!

I will try it next time out.

I fear stroking the TR servo arm any more aft will cause
problems. I mentioned we're at the stop. I even have a 10mm
arm to the carbon.

We'll get it I know.

Hi

From what I understand from you saying about stroking the TR servo arm any more aft as you are at the end stops is not a problem. Set the ATV's in the tx to 100% or more and then go into the travel limits in the gyro amp box and set them up so you get full travel. At the moment you may have full travel but the gyro may not let you use this much travel in a fast pirouette but by upping your rudder ATV's you will effectivly speed up the roation rate.

Hope this helps.

Problem Solved!

Yeppers cats, we got it.

ATV was too low.

Bumped it up, set the limit on the 501
to 75 a and b sides.

All is finer than frog hair now!

Thanks a bunch!

Hey Malorie!

I was certainly refering to the 'machine' itself!
This Bergen 50 is smoother than fine frog fur!
Now, if I can just keep the shiney side up!

Love my Bergen!

Hey Mal!

Malorie!
Would it be acceptable to install the new CANOPY
on my Intrepid 50?

If so, Please let me know when they hit the shelf!

Thanks! :-)

I think it would be to big. I guess it could always be tried. They should be on the shelves soon. Molds have been made and the first one is in Chris' grubby little hands now.

How is the "mold" doing for the phantom gasser muffler?
