I'm curious what blades you guys are flying? I fly almost all Mavrikk exclusively. I have G4 sets in 550, 600 and 620mm. I have the wide cord 3D G5 blades in 550 and 600mm. I have a set of 600mm MAH's that I like and a set of Radix 600mm too.

Radix and Rotortech 610s. Much better flying blades than the Mav G4s. I haven't tried the new G5s yet, I hear they are much better than the G4s, my experience with the G4s is they bog the head easily, are pitchy in FFF, don't auto well, and just plain don't fly well.

Radix 600 and nothing else on any of my 50's. I've had Mav's and others, but there is no comparison. Especially if you are looking for hang time from your autos.

IM using the Mav. G4 600's. They do seem to bog easily, but I don't have any complaints on the hang time. I am thinking about going to the G5 Pro's on my second Pantera or possibly the Raddix. I also liked the rotor tech's on my Trex 450. May try those in the 600? I plan to go with one of the 3 I mentioned. Any other input on the G5's would be nice.

Should add to the question:

I think the perfect follow up question that Marty should have asked in the first place is; "and what head speed are you running them"?

Stock woodies....but I have a set of Radix 600 just waiting to go on!

Using the woodies until I break in the engine and get it tuned. Also first time using a governor, so I didn't want to put the Radix on until I was 100% comfortable with everything....just in case.

Ultimately, blade selection is as personal as picking a toothbrush or the type of underwear you wear, Consequently, I am not really surprised there are so many different opinions amongst Pantera owners. As I was recently reminded, you guys are by and large men who make up their own minds, i.e. you don't follow the crowds. This thread is proof. Hence, I hope you fellows will some day consider trying a set of our SWE Rotors. I liked them so much I began importing them.

Our 600mm blades are $79.99 and the 620mm are $81.99. And for sport pilots we offer our 600mm composites for a tad over 60 bucks, which are built in the same 600mm mold.

In the hands of a duffer like myself, our sport blades perhaps fly better. Why? Because they flex a little more. They're less expensive because they feature an FRP skin and are reinforced with carbon in the leading and trailing edges as well as in the spar area. They're plenty strong but more forgiving than a full carbon blade, and because I'm not the best pilot in the world I really can't tell any difference . . . except in my wallet!

I personally like the RT's better than V's.

The 610's are the aeroflats and should weight around 125g and are better suited for 3D but I would assume they do not auto as well as the 600mm that weigh around 142g.

These are the angle tips which I love with an undying passion one set was 142g and the other was 143g the main thing I noticed is how efficient they were even though they are the heaviest of any blade I have flown except Maverik G4's which were 148g. My V's were 133g but it was so easy to bog the motor with them the RT's use less collective than any other blade I have flown regardless of weight. They just bite and go. I let a friend of mine put them on his 600N for a few flights he didn't have much to say until he put his Radix back on first thing he said is seems like I'm having to use more collective with the Radix.

http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=2282
These are the areoflats according to Centurys website they weigh between 120 and 125g which in my mind would take away some of your auto but would be more poppy that the angle tips which are pretty freaking good. This is just my personal theory speaking as I have never flown the aeroflats. I really want to try a set of these. I should have linked you to Centurys site as this is where I get my specs for the aeroflats and angle tips. Centurys site says 140 to 145g for the angle tips which is true on both of my sets of angle tips they fell between this spec at 142 and 142g.

I want to try JB's SWE rotors next I am working on inverted four point and Piroing hovers and need anything I can to help me with orientation. Them being black on top and the maroon on the bottom will help. I have even thought about painting a canopy red on one side for right and lime green on the other for left to help me get the orientations down where I don't have to think I just know what I'm doing.

Sorry I got so long winded I hope you love the RT's

Raddix 600mm's here and I have a set of MAH blades I got from slodave a little while back for Pantera #2. Haven't got it in the air yet but the raddix blades are pretty sweet imo. Autos are real easy and I am a relative newby to the nitros. My biggest electric has RCP cf 500's on it and they have almost no auto capability in comparison. I am going to try out the MAH blades soon and am hoping they will be up to par.

I meant to do that!!!
