Compass Knight 50 > Issues w/ front tail kit

I recently installed the front tail kit with a Hitec HS81 servo. I noticed alot of flex in the throttle servo and thought it was due to the HS81 not having metal gears. I replaced it with a HS82MG but it still flexes. After some further investigation it's the servo itself the flexes up and down in the mount. I can easily move the servo up and down in the mount since it is only mounted with 2 screws. I'm using the rubber servo grommets and have the servo tightened as far as it will go. Anyone else notice this on their throttle servo?

Yes I noticed mine moves alot as well, nothing to do with the servo spacer but just the way the servo itself is made. I am not sure how to fix it but I just fly it anyway and it works out well.

Dx7 With Ion Power Supply. Why use anything else.

theres no torque on the throttle worth talking about. if you move the throttle with the stick does the servo move?

Yes Aid it does move some when on the bench. But I see your point and agree. Thats why I said fly it. you wont notice it in the air.

It moves a little but not nearly as much as the HS81 with nylon gears. I used the HS81 because I already had an extra one but I could definately see it flexing on the output shaft. The HS82MG does not flex at the shaft but does move a little if I move the throttle really fast.

HS81MG - I recently installed this servo to my K3D. On my bench test I noticed that the centering is not that accurate even though I made sure i have no binding of some sort. Its because it is not a digital servo?

I have not started my K3D yet. This week end I will test it with my ATG.

if you run a gov it also makes a difference. centering and moving are irrelevant since it is a constant rpm.

only you have the power to make no difference!

Fly it

Yup mine looked like that on the bench also. It worried me a little but as it was in I figured I would go with it. probably 50 flights later still as sloppy and in accurate as I have ever seen but in the air works like a champ !!

Correction I have the HS82mg - dam these glasses...

Couldn't resist had to try it. I flew 1 tank and I was right. Idle was unstable. sometimes I get very low idle and other time high idle. (comparing it to my previous setup of 9252 on the throttle) But BEAVIS1 is right. Up in the air its flawless.

Ade - I tried to buy the hs5082 in Hong Kong but to no avail. They do not have it yet. Servo city note "coming soon"

Its funny those servos(Hitec) are made here in my country and we do not have a dealer. I even know where the factory is located but they do not sell to anyone locally
