Well first off i wasn't planning on flying today. My daughter wanted to see what daddy spends most of his alone time with. So i take wifey and my baby to the park for a few flips and some loops. All simple moves, she was so happy seeing daddy fly this thing she sees me messing with all the time. I hover inverted with some piro's then into a inverted inbound turn. i brought it back to a normal hover and did some fast fly-by's with a couple tight flips.... All was well until in mid flight the blade smacked the boom and all hell broke loose.
The bird came crashing down to earth like a lawn dart. My daughter is now crying cuz daddy broke his toy.

After looking the bird over i found that the screw for the anti-rotation bracket came loose.... I know what everyone is gonna say "preflight check list". i did the normal checks on everything as i always do. That screw was tight!!!!! It really was..
Anyway **** happens right?

So here the damage:

Canopy
401 gyro
3 servo gears (65 hb's)
Blades (carbon fiber)
Feathering shaft
Main shaft
Fly-bar and paddles (carbon fiber)
Tail boom
Tail belt
Tail blade only one
Bottom tray
receiver tray
Battery is done "swelled"
Some linkages are bent
Upper frame cracked

I think that was all $hit that almost the whole bird.
There's a lot of money in parts here......If anyone has anything listed here they can part with i would really appreciate it.

I basically have a pile of broken parts here.
Please help.

Send the 401 to futaba, it might be repairable- of course you might be able to tell just by looking at it that its hopeless

Cracked frames might be repaired by scabbing a scrap of carbon fiber (from previous crash) by scuffing both surfaces and CA'ing. I'm flying a repaired frame, but again if its too bad, then you might need to replace.

Sorry about the losses.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Wow, those e-hirobo's are pretty cheap and are all blinged out! LOL, I wish I saw these before I started my MT project.

The above post courtesy of you tax dollars hard at work. Enjoy.

the only problem with these Knockoffs is you have to reassemble everything and Use locktite

haha ^ china makes everything except loctite.

All through reading your story I was worried about the heli failing and hitting your family. (I don't know know you fly or anything, I was just worried for some reason).
