| Try to make it short until I think of anything else. questions at the end... I know its got an upgrade motor but I dont kwow what it is yet, I think it may be 1000 kv will find out and get back, speedy duno either, probly 60 or 70 amp. 3 hs85 on cyclic. 4s 3700 pack dunno brand either, probly cheapy 15 or 18c not sure. 401 and futaba 9254 on tail. At present ime running 9 degrees up 9 down and zero in the middle, probly would like to go to 10 maybe 12, but will wait to see how the heli goes over the next few days.
had the heli 2 days, flown only 5 times and fies like a dream, i was somewhat dubious of what this heli would behave like as my only experience with electrics was well over 4 years ago with trex 450s, been flying 50 nitros since, and still am.
Pretty much from the get go I was expecting tail problems, blade track probs, and all the thing I associated with small helis, but if this heli is as good as what I think it might be I just may pack in the nitros all together, any how I have a few questions as I really havent had any experience with electrics so here goes........
1. My five throttle curves are 100 80 80 80 100 in idleup. Can I go 100 100 100 100 100? or will this over heat my electrics.? allthough the power is ok, it doesent seem quite as responsive as my 50 nitro bearing in mind im only running 9 degrees.
2. I think my battery may be 15 or 18c discharge not sure, will a FP 20 or 25c give more power or simply allow me to use a higher throttle curve setting more safely ???
3. How do these smaller helicopters flip and invert compared to my 600 nitros, am I in for a horrible surprize???
4. I know this is subjective but generally are these 500 size electrics cheaper to repair after a smack down occurs, with my nitros I guess it could range anywhere from 100 to 250, I think what im mainly thinking about is how do the electrical components hold out in a crash, things like the battery, speedy bec.. etc
Any good websites to buy spare parts from?, im in australia and as long as my local rc shop doesent go bust im right but it would be handy to know just incase.
any advise appreciated.
