That is a great site. I think we need to figure out a way to count the pixels.. .I turned up the contrast but there are a LOT of pixels...

I am going to call Horizon tomorrow and see if they tell me anything.

I translated the link for the 9X backlite limited edition... it came out as

I counted with a strong lens and using the elevator trim etc...it is

64 high. I than measured what 64 pixels come out to, vs the measurement of the width and am getting around 110 but that cannot be right.

I tried to count the width, my estimation would be 240 or 260.

64 X 240 or maybe 64 X 260 ?

I don't know if the dot matrix LCD have standardized resolutions but if you have counted right it looks like the screen shown here

has the same resolution AND similar PCB dimensions!

The only thing left is to figure out if the 9303's protocol is compatible with the Toshiba T6963C controller...
Any IC markings on the original display or on a IC located on the board the that controls the LCD???

Waiting to get the JR Part number.

One issue is going to be that on the 9XII Limited edition, there is a new connector on the main PCB which supplies the power to the backlit screen. This connector supplies voltage under control from the CPU so that the timing is controlled. ie 30 seconds on for a Function change, 5 seconds for a Trim change.

Not sure what level is coming out of the connector but will try and find out. Got to figure out some way of adding a switch to power it on and off.
