After the info I got from this thread, I am in need of a little help.

I have a Neu 1521 with a Kv of 1050. On 10s, I can use the 18.46 gearing to get me where I need to be. If I want to run 12s, I need a 22.33GR. Well, that leaves me with trying ot find an 11 tooth pinion to run the 44 tooth primary gear and I hear that is bad for the belt.

Does anyone have suggestions?

I have heard the same thing about breaking belts

But i am useing an 11 tooth pinion with no issues so far

Hey Lou. Get a Actro 24-3 with 13.5 gearing. I am running this setup on my Razor with great power and 4.5 minutes of hard flight. Almost 3 ounces lighter then the 32-3. I am running TP 12s 3850's. Just a suggestion.

Lou, if you use any motor pulley less than 16T and 12S you will shred the belt, I know from experience. Use a different motor like David said and 16T or higher on the motor pulley.

Well, I really don't want to spend money on a new motor so I guess I will just run my 1521 on 10s and settle for insane power instead of stupid crazy ballistic. Oh well.

Lou, go here and look at this motor. Buy a $10 fan for a Hacker A50 and JB Weld to the rear and your in business. They will have their Heli model in the 40mm size out before long and it has a fan built in. With this 515 kV motor on 12S, you could use a 19T motor pulley and a 32T pulley on the pinion shaft. The 19T from MA are 6mm and that is what the motor shaft is.
