| Here's what I did and it worked perfectly. If you have an old set of damaged BLADE 400 wood blades, remove the plastic reinforcement pieces from the top and bottom of the blades. Grind off the extension part that goes into the blade mounting hole, but leave the outer extension that holds the screw in place. Now mount the plastic reinforcement piece(the one without the extension) to the top of the blade. I used a spare rotor mounting bolt. Now, if you look at the glades closely, you'll see a ridge running from the mounting hole out about an inch and a half. I placed the small hole in the plastic reinforcer directly on top of this ridge, and marked the blade using a small drill bit. I then drilled a hole large enough for the extension tab on the other plastic reinforcement piece to go in, put the screw back into the reinforcers and walla, a perfect fit. |
