I am very close to taking the plunge and getting an E4.
Did you guys go for the combo deal at Advantage http://www.advantagehobby.com/produ...productid=72668 or separate ESC / Motor etc ?
Is the Align 35 ESC and Motor working out for you in the Beam ?

Is there a better ESC / Motor combo that is recommended for the Beam ?

That combo will be a bit milder than what I'm running. Depends on what performance level you want the Beam to perform at! I have flown it with that motor and it flies pretty well.

I'm running the Scorpion 2221-6 with the Align 35 amp 6 volt esc and it works perfect. Using the TP 2200 exTreme packs. Killer combo..

The align set up is always ol'reliable, but I am gonna go with the -6 motor with a 11t pinion, and a 45cc esc..... Headspeeds right around 3400

I went with separates. Again, the -6 motor was my choice. The Align motor was just lacking in my Trex and you will want more power immediately.

Like others have said, I couldn't be happier with the top notch quality, not to mention that the design makes this heli really shine. 10.0
