Scale Model RC Helicopters > My Ecureuil Vancouver Olympics Edition

Thought I would share one of my newest kids!

This is a Thunder Tiger Ecureuil AS355N:
Mechanics: Raptor E620

I am making my own private decals so as to be the 'Official Helicopter of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games". Of course it is not really. Don't even know if they have one I have only got the decals on one side to see how I like the placement.

Enjoy!

Nicely done!

FYI: There is/was a full scale HeliJet Sikorski S76 in Vancouver, British Columbia with a 2010 Olympics theme. It does not have the official 2010 Vancouver Olympic Logo but the one that they submitted to the Olympics Committee for the selection process.

this is just absolutely gorgeous!!! I am really wanting to use this Body kit with my new Trex 600E that is arriving this friday. Do you think it would work on that?
Is your body kit basically all stock from the factory, except the decals you added?
cause man that is one great looking paint job and the detail with all the little parts and things, wow TT did a really nice job on these kits!!!

thanks

Hi gadgetdude,
Can you tell me what mods you had to make to the fuse to get the 620 mechs to fit?
I asked at the ThunderTiger booth at Toledo and was told that if I wanted to run electric with this fuse I should go with a set of Trex mechs [ this from the TT rep directly ].
Any pics would also be greatly appreciated.

thx Dave

Sorry for the out of place post above(those photos are of the actual helicopter used for the paint scheme TT used). I spent about 30 minutes typing a huge response added pictures etc and then poof, only the pictures posted

Let me try again.

Thanks for all the kind comments

Everything is pretty much stock. I added the heli ski basket(built from scratch), and lights. See the link below for video of lights along with my other scale projects. The windshield wipers and antenna's come white. I painted these to look more realistic.

C-HELI: LOL on what the TT rep told you. The only modification I had to do to the E620 was add 14mm wood blocks inbetween the fuse and the frame. Really EASY. I also have a Trex 600E that I am mounting in a Bell 222 but I have never compared the 600E with the E620 to see the differences.

SCALECRAZY: Thanks for the photos of the REAL heli. The only problem now is that I want to make that my new project. That looks awesome. I would just have to update the logo as you pointed out.

Love it, looks almost real, the shot from behind is spot on for my money. The lights are superb...did you make them yourself?

Thanks Macsgraf!

The lights are from DIYRC.com. You can program them your self to work any way you want. They are excellent lights.

Very nice. Love the blue and the details you added.

Adam G: Your intake vents look great! How did you do those? If also looks like you did some fuel inlets or something. Can you post some close up pictures?
