This is more or less a rant
So I have a set of V's I have been dying to try on my Knight.

tried to bolt them on yesterday, and they don't fit!
The blade meat behind the bolt hole is too much, and it can't clear the spindle bolt.
I know just what I need to do (it involves a saw or a cutting wheel)
The thing that sucks about that, is that my set of V's are older and have the flash tips, and are pretty much a collector's item. Im not so sure I want to cut them up.

Oh well.
If any Knight owners out there plan on buying a set of V Blades for their Knights, expect to modify them.

Here are two ways to get a little more clearance for blades, without cutting them. You can use the button head bolts that came on the earlier Knights to bolt the grips to the spindle, also the metal grips are a little deeper than the plastic grips.

dont cut them there is way to use them. I have to set with Tal to see how his fit. I know he said there is a way to bolt them on. Maybe its the Buttom head screws.

Dx7 With Ion Power Supply. Why use anything else.

I asked zr2chevy to bolt a set of v's on his Knight to see if they fit..
They fit on his, but barely. His set of blades is also much newer than mine.
On mine there is 20mm of meat between the bolt hole and the end of the blade.

Chevy has 14.9mm of meat on the back ends of his blades.

So even if I had NO SCREWS in the spindle, I don't think they'd fit unless I cut the blades.

My old V Blades are on the trading block over in the classifieds section.

BTW, I call it 'meat' because I don't know what else to call it.
