I need everything for a 600mm helicopter, 600n pro or a raptor. What blades are brightest and fly th best. What glow wire brightest. What colors availible? And what is the best place to buy these items. Is there anywhere to see the differences in colors?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks.

As for night tail blades, MS Composite makes 97mm and 107mm blades (50 and 90 size helis respectively). These blades are super bright, and can be found at www.heliproz.com to name just one place.

On my 50 size heli I'm using the Align 600mm night blades and they show up significantly bright too. But, guys who have done DiY blades and installed external LED lights have even brighter results. So bright it is almost weird to see (IMO).

Glow wire comes in 1m and 1.5m lengths and found many places, www.ReadyHeli.com to name one. For the brightest results power the glow wire driver(s) with 7.4v. If you use any more voltage you risk burning up your driver. I also use the Align driver and parallel it into my reciever's 2s 2100mah lipo pack.

I've only seen colors in orange, lime green, highlight green, and blue, and max lengths of 1.5m.

Blades and stuff...

The best place to get the Glow wire is from www.glowire.com they have almost every color you can think of

I would recommend calling them and asking for the "High brightness" glow wire.

It is a bit brighter than the regular stuff they sell and isn't all that much more expensive.

It's worth it...you'll also want to call them and ask for the F2 driver...that driver is brighter and can handle a 3s lipo for power.

I found that for max brightness you'll want a driver for each string of lights. I currently use 3 drivers for my night flier and also use the newer lipo powered MS carbon 2 color blades...they seem to work very well even for night time 3d flying. I use a couple of small 3s 400mah lipos for power...VERY bright andyet VERY lightweight

here's a couple pics of my setup.

Pm me if you have any other questions...I'd be happy to help

BTW---I just got a set of the NEW MS carbon 97mm tails and they are AWESOME!!!

Well I am very new to the night gig but I recently finished up my basher bird as a night rig. I ahve not flown it yet, hopefully with some luck and warmer weather should be soon, kinda pumped about it as I never have flown in night before.

Here is my first attempt with a night bird

I just finished putting my align light rope and blades on my Blade 400 this evening. Here are a couple of pictures. Its a whole new ball game as far as orientation goes. It was alot of fun. I was able to hold it in a solid hover along with a little forward flight. I am having problems charging my align blades. They are only charging for ten or so minutes before I start getting alternating red and green light on the supplied charger that came with the blades.

Take offs are optional! Landings are not!
