Hey Barry,

I'm not even sure you can get the pinions on their own mate, I am looking through Centurys web site as I type.

To remove it you will need to use a mixture of heat and brute force, I think most pinions are screwed into the bell housing but retained using a good loctite.

In the UK it's £39.99 for a new clutch bell & pinion, with clutch liner fitted so while not cheap is reasonable value.

Hello Mate,

Oh yeah, I never knew you could get just the pinions on their own.
They are certainly threaded into the bell though, dont know for sure but I wonder if they are left hand thread so as to tighten themselves under load?
Never taken one out myself, just change the whole bell assembly in the case of my Turbine.

Glad to hear your models coming along now though matey will be good to see some flying pictures.

If the weather holds up hopefully tomorrow I will be blowing the cob webs out of mine ready for Charmouth

Have taken quite a few out they are loctited in, when you put them back locktite with Tamia because it does'nt clog. They do tighten under load and they are not left handed.
To remove the pinion gear just put the pinion in a soft jawed vice put on a rubber glove for grip and unscrew the bell housing.

Why are you changing the ratio mini?

My 950mm boom came from Century UK. Have they not got any?
Are you sticking with the 90t Main 11t pinion?
