i started with V18 about 4 1/2 years ago and have been using V21 for the last 2 1/2 years. i think its a good value. if your designing and making things for yourself using wire frame geometry is quick and painless. if you want to create a solid model it has the capability and is straight forward. the CAM side is also simple. i used the training DVD's and the book to learn and never had to call them (dont get the technical support until you think you need it).i probably have 900 bucks invested into bobcad with the bob-art too. i dont think you will be diappointed if you go this way. go to http://cnczone.com/forums/forumdisp...64c7b4b212&f=23 for more info. i will say though that you can expect regular calls from them wanting you to purchase upgrades, etc. so dont give them your cell phone#

Thanks, They gave me a good price for v22 and training.($8OO) somthing about end of the quarter thing. Just needed something to solid model and make g-codes. Will not need it to much after that. Going to buy on monday I have been playing with the download. Seems to be fairy easy to learn, although I have not made anything yet. I needed something to design a new cooling fan and new rotor head for my heli before the end June. Then send the program to a machine shop. Hell of a lot cheaper that way. Thanks again
