Hello guys,

Check it out. I just finished upgrading my Razor to 12S. It has an Actro24-4, PJ (I know.... talk about overkill) and a set of 6S 3300 Extreme V2's. Did a mild/smooth test flight yesterday to make sure nothing was cooking. The PJ was at ambient when it landed.. LOL! Still need to dial in a few things and figure out my flight times. At least I know everything is working properly and that the power was definitely there. Will continue to fly it throughout this week and report back on performance.

I know there are some other people flying 12S Razors. Would be nice if you shared what works for you. Videos too .

You have a clean machine there! The wires are tidy and everything is routed well. Good luck on the first hard flight.

Thanks guys, the machine is flying strong and handles awesome in the air. Managed to get the 12S Razor on video here:

The electronics are coming down cool so there's still room for some more later on.

Hello bb,

I'm flying 4min 20 seconds to be exact. That's including about a 10sec spool up. With this style of flying the Wattmeter shows about 2080 to 2090mAh capacity used on average. Actual recharge puts back around 2200mAh. I should be able to increase flight time to 4.5min without problem.

BTW, I am going to be trying some larger capacity 12S 3850 Extreme V2 soon to see how they perform.

Hello Dale, I haven't tried the lager capacity packs yet... too busy at work . Today I will be soldering connectors on a new set of 3850's V2 for the Razor. These should be able to fit in my widened frame since they don't have any velcro on the sides yet. My other set of 3850's have velcro on the sides (for the Ion), so they won't fit. I should be able to put some flights in tomorrow and this coming week with the new set and report back. Over 5min flight times should be easily achievable, we'll see how it goes.

BB, I'm only running about 10.5 deg of pitch, but am planning on increasing it a bit for the next few flights. On average I'm hitting around 56 Amps at 2400-2500 Watts. The most I've hit is 59.83 Amps at 2583.4 Watts (attached). The 3300 Extreme V2 are holding strong at around 3.44v/cell voltage drop. I don't know what my HS drop is though.

Thanks guys.

razor

I am wondering if with a 12s setup useing 2x6s 3300mah packs would allow me a longer flight time (compared to my current set up) with the same power ?

I love the razors battery tray i can use my 10s sticks from my 3DMP and im sure if i pull out that servo mounting plate and mount the servo (tail servo) on the rear of the rear vertical plate i could fit a 12s 5000MAH pack straight in and balance perfectly.

Then theres the V-bar module i have sitting there, every time i look over at it it says to me " go on put me on the razor" !

Although i have it sitting there for my E-Stratus... might have to get another one....

Then there's the new flybarless module from Skookumrobotics.com

AHH it never ends...
