It was Danny's Aurora at the Las Vegas Funfly last weekend. I was there and a Mike Fortin from readyheli told me that the 7100 was a 3 in 1 unit: receiver, regulator and limiter/governor. It is sure a great unit and I will buy one as soon as it comes out!

Wow seems like a logical progression to have them all combined in one.

The AR9100 does NOT have any antennae on the main RX , but this one has a single wire on it, I don`t think it is the AR9100 , it is something new...

It is still a prototype so the final production may be different.

look at the wires and color and location. they are different on both helis and more or less wires. Need to examine closely

Paul Beard spoke of the new receiver at the AMA expo in CA. a few months ago. The sensor for the govenor is a hall effect sensor that mounts on the backplate. No magnets. (Finally) He said it should be out this summer. It has two regulators built in. One for the tailrotor servo and one for the aux channel for the tail gain. You can run the rest of your system on 7.4

Awesome news! The more we can have stuff integrated, the better. Real estate on our heli's are at a premium.

question for you guys

I'm just getting back into the helis and was wondering looking at all of these electronics pics: why doen't anyone wrap their gear in foam??? I/We always wrapped at least our recievers and sometimes batts depending on placement. Gear is much cheaper now than 15 years ago, but it seems a little foam wrap on at least the RX would give a little crash protection. Or is that a problem with the gear as far as reception/accuracy???

No crash = no need to wrap.

It's OK....It's not your fault !!!
