Had my first bad experience with Lipo. Was flyin and trimming Trex outside yesterday. Made some adjustments and went to plug in to
heli inside . In a matter of seconds, smoke filled the room and
the balancer plug and wires disintegrated in my hand.

It has a full charge and is inside the barbeque. If I try and
unwrap the cells, the bare wires are ibare inside trying to short
circuit. How do I get rid of this Lipo?

I wonder what would happen if you put it in a bucket of water?

Toss it on your neighbors roof lol. All kidding aside toss it in a bucket of water with salt in it.

Take Better Care...Problem Solved

Nevermind tossing a burning Lipo aside...just take proper care of them and don't charge or balance the volitle packs without them being in a lipo charge safe bag. Bottomline is that you should never have a lipo problem due to human error or stupidity. But if you did have a burning lipo...the ideas you guys thought of are pretty funny. I like the "throw it on your neighbors roof" idea best.

I would rather be flying...
