Vario Sky Fox - Benzin - Evolution - Xtreme > Benzin Engine Kill

I have the new Benzin with the RC230. I've been trying to use the throttle cut switch on my TX to kill the engine. No luck. I can't seem to get the butterfly valve closed tight enough to kill the engine.

There must be some way to do it. Anyone have any suggestions?

The large phillips head screw on top of the carb can be backed out some to fully close the butterfly.

Carb

you could also be a little to lean on the mixture on the low side.

I had the same problem. Backing the Idle stop screw out didn't help. As a matter of fact, I cut off the idle stop bracket competely so I could run the throttle linkage on top instead of underneath. Never let gravity help anything fall off. Even stalling the servo to close the butterfly won't cut it off. But it will idle nice and slow until I can push the kill switch.

You can also see my quick disconnect canopy mount that I used for my Bell 47 bubble. I used 1/4 inch nylon bolts and washers and R/C car body pins. Works great!

Doug is correct . Your running to lean on the low if your engine will not shut down....Using the idle set screw needle setting gives you a window of operation where you'll know where you need to be...This is the reason I suggest not cutting off the idle arm, or taking anything off the carb..There is a reason for all that, just like the spring on the throttle shaft. It is there to keep the Brass shaft from wearing out due to vibration...
