Your running to lean on the low if your engine will not shut down....Using the idle set screw needle setting gives you a window of operation where you'll know where you need to be...This is the reason I suggest not cutting off the idle arm, or taking anything off the carb..There is a reason for all that, just like the spring on the throttle shaft. It is there to keep the Brass shaft from wearing out due to vibration...
