dougsrc good news. rain has gone away but its a little windy. i flew 3 packs today. first one was on honey bee king 2. i tried out 4 circles and 3 of them i almost got it out of control.

second pack was with belt cp and i made some circles nicely.

third pack was awesome with honey bee king 2. i'm making some small nose in circuits and circles are becoming easier i'm loving it.

another day with both models in the air and no crashes

I have to say Doug these little circles are touger than any figure 8 I have ever done. I can't seem to kep them consistant, either the tail swings out or the altitude drops..... but I'll master them sooner or later... This is a pretty trick challenge...

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Okay

Got tired of my cameraman cancelling out on me. Now its to rough outside to do them. Oh well. I tried to do them slow to show control. It is a pretty tight area and the turbulence is crazy.

Brad , That was fantastic, extremely slow and controlled, much slower than mine which I think is even more difficult. I don't know why you even bother with the training gear, you are far beyond training gear.

Nice video Brad, I have to second what Doug said, Your beyond training gear if you can fly that low and slow with the turbulance, your ready to ditch the gear. You have great control and are ready to Spread your wings and fly....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Yeah

I need to ditchem. You know....I put myself in some pretty awkward positions with that heli. I would probably crash many times over if it werent for the gear. No crashes in over 350 flights. I still get all the training. I do like rebuilding but i like flying more. So soon ill get you a video with out the gear. Thanks for all the encouraging comments.

Nice flying but man the TG is holding you back. You got way more skill than I do and I ditched my TG a while back.

I tried to do some half-arse circles today by staying tail in and making the heli move in a circle. Yeah that is hard. My circles look more like squares. I hope to get a HBFP soon and work on my nose-in hovering. I really like that idea.

Yeah

Its pretty much the same thing. Although im not as comfortable with it as the Belt cp. Ive been trying to get more time with it. I usually get 3 to 5 flights a week with the Rappy and 20-30 flights a week with the belt cp. Most of the flights with the belt cp are hovering side in to nose in and back. Both sides of course.

I like that idea to. A heli that takes a likin and keeps on tickin. Im gonna let it all hang out.

dougsrc now that i remember i crashed with the hbk2 because i tried to do a slow circle that was the cause of my crash. these are really difficult =(

toolman when you take off your training gear it will feel like your skill will level up like a thunder and your helicopter is way much better. it makes a lot of difference.

Yep

Ive flown without them plenty of times. Just when doing tricky maneuvers. Thats when i feel vulnerable.

I think Brads "common sense" approach to flying is really paying off for him in far fewer "crashes" He could possible hold a record of sorts for 350 flights without a crash yet STILL progresses

Dougsrc

Is right. Ive learned that rebuilding is cool but id rather get 5 or 6 flights that day instead. I got out of the hobby because of a few expensive crashes on much larger expensive machines. Im not going that direction this time. Im gonna fly fly fly. Im more determined to make things work this time without all of the rebuilding. You cant fly tied to a work bench.

Even slower circles- like the toolmans ( Neon - slow down a little bit before you take an eye out )
