I just traded tat2wallace for his Hurricane 550 I am going to fly at first with the a123 packs that he already has on it But I was looking at buying 2 3s Thunder power extreme v2 batteries my question is can 2 4000 mah batteries fit on the stock Gaui plastic chassis and can you adjust them to get proper CG for the Heli Thunder power also sells them in 3850mah and 3300mah I am planing on using the stock 1100kv motor and an Align 75amp esc Thanks Gary

I don't think they will...

4000Mah are wider, thicker and longer than the 2100 2s LiPo.

I'm using 3300 polyquest and they fit pretty good. You need to modify the bottom holder by adding a flat piece that will allow the lipo to go almsot all the way to the canopy holder on the LG.

Cg is a little off but just a few clicks of up take care of it.

I don't think I can go any bigger...although I think some people have....3300 is about the biggest I would ever buy....2500 poly's fit perfectly.

Thanks I was thinking of going with the 3300's. I should get better performance and longer flight times with 3300 versus the 2500's right?

i mounted 3 2s 4400 batts on it. 2 under the canopy and 1 hanging under the skids..... was 1900g with 2 3s batts to 2300g with the 4400.

fff was ok, but no wild stuff with that weight.....

i wood fly 5mins, have a break, fly 5, break, fly 5mins.... put back bout 3500mah.That was with the stock motor, i now have the z20-i havent tried them with this motor yet...........

Do you think 2 3 cell 3300mah would work for ff and some 3d I am still new to helis but I know there will be a day that I try more stuff I already do ff and flips and rolls with my Trex 450 so once I get some time on this Heli I will want to try more so would the 3300 be ok for that Thanks Gary

3300 work great....i can feel the difference between the weight of the 3300 vs the 2500 when flying, but the heli still does all the same stuff....loop, rolls, 8's, stall turns, etc.

You will get a few more minutes with the 3300's....but you just have to weigh the cost. I have a cheap pair of Hextronic 2200 25c lipos. $27 each and with about 10 flights on them they seem to be pretty good as far as balance and power.

I have 4 sets of packs....2200, 2 x 2500, 3300. so when I fly I can get about 25 minutes of actual flight time.

This heli is very versitle...so get whatever you can afford....I would personally stay away from 4400...due to cost, weight, and crash replacement cost.

Mjdee14 Thanks for that I have the money to go 3300 but if there is not that much gain power or run time I might just split the diffrence and do 3000mah I am just wanting to get about 6 to 8 min flights of FF some easy 3d loops rolls stuff like that I have the stock motor but might upgrade down the road to a z30 So that is why I was leaning towards the 3300's Thanks Gary
