JS Model TZ Shark > TZ90 Shark Balance

I have a TZ90 Shark and it is very tail heavy. I am using a Fromeco 4000+ Pack (I do not remember the exact size) placed as far forward as possible and still tail heavy. To get to balance I added a roll of nickels and that did the trick (for testing purposes). All electronics located as normal as possible (similar to the TZ90 Shark in RC Heli Magazine). Motor is a YS90 and MP. Are these machines a little tail heavy? Do I just use the heaviest battery I can find to balance? My balance point was when the main frame was parallel with the work surface. Any help or suggestion appreciated.

Thank you.

They are tail heavy, all of them are. you just need to find the right frontal weight to get it to ballance.

If you bling it, they will come :D

Is the tail servo on the boom or up front ? On my TZ Shark 50 I moved the tail servo up front and it balanced perfectly.

Put it up front and it will help with the balance.

tz 90 shark BALANCE ( C of G )

Leave the tail servo where it is its better
if you use a 3300 nmh batt and move the radio install around to find the c of g you will not have to add weight to the helicopter
we have 4 x tz 90 sharks flying and we have not had to add weight
the tz company spend loads of money on research and development
and i am sure they now what they are doing with there helicopters
i have followed there advice with radio install and governor install
and we have no problems with the helicopter performance at all

So if it is a little tail heavy the machine will be ok? I hate to add weight if it is not needed. I am going to go with a larger (ie heavier) battery to help balance.

Does the tail heavy effect the inverted hover?

Thank you.

scroll down to the middle of the thread. There is a post on adding brass plate to balance the heli. The lipo was kinda small though.

I see the brass plate that was added. Looks heavy. Is there a way to do it without adding weight?

Thank you.

Hi there,

I jut came across this post, and I must admit I am shocked!
The TZ90 is just a knockoff of the German Revolution helicopter by Heli-Professional!!! And what a bad one....
I am from Germany and I own one of these Revolutions. I've never experienced such balance problems with the original, everything just fits perfectly and the finish is awesome.

Is the TZ also of such poor quality as the Stinger 50? Last year the heli was presented to the German market, but it disappeared as fast as it was introduced due to massive quality problems.

I've been told that the biggest U.S. heli-dealer is interested in selling products from Heli-Professional very soon. I think the Revolution is really worth taking a look at!

Regards, Robin

hi there
I have no problems with the balance of my tz shark 90
the kit went together first class with no problems.
I have no problems with the quality of the kit.
We can all judge the style and shape of helicopters
but they are all much the same you can only do so much with the layout.
Most helicopters look the same and we dont all like the same
we have 4 x tz 90 sharks in the air and are very happy with the performance and we are not interested in the revolution 90 helicopter
thank you

Hi Robin from Frankfurt,
Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. I too am very happy with my TZ 30D. Quality of machining for the all metal head is great and all settings were 0 degrees, straight out of the box!

Also, came out of the packaging in 3 pieces which is another great "TZ" feature for Novice and Veteran alike.

I am sure we all agree that heli's are subject to the same personal preferences as Planes, Engines, Radios and Physiotherapists this forum is all about extracting the most from our gear, we already know they run great.....

TZ is for me too I'm afraid

Blade 3d,

How many flights do you have on your 50 and how is it holding up.
