Traveled to London at the weekend, to collect a second hand fuselage, for a new project, it needs a lot of care and attention, this model is no longer in production, so back to scratch building

On arrival saw this masterpiece sitting on the workbench, was afraid to ask how much

I only took a few photo's, if you want to see them, let me know

Nice fuse peter,

At last you traveled outside badger eating country, hope you did not find London too busy for you...

I have found a company making these still, and they do a turbine version with twin exhaust, the air intakes look great, as well - thanks Ross!

there is around 30 photo's of the build up stage, it is using the PAHL turbine and it is is in very similar mechanics to the SPH5M

Hi Peter,

Congratulation with just a beautiful model !

Its www.scalecopter.de who deliver that model now. It seems very similar at least. They do the turbine edition. I saw the model on the Jetpower Messe in Germany last september. It was not finished then but it looked really nice :-)

They should have showed us a video of the turbine model i think and "not only pictures"

Of all the fullsize helicopters built...the Sea King is my favorite.

Best regards
Totto

Totto, Thanks for your comments
The white Sea King was featured in a French heli mag a couple of years ago, it had a JetCat PHT3 and a strange made up exhaust (which I now own), this is a Modelbau kit, with original drawings, I have now found the original builders, and am in the process of getting the parts that I need, to put it back to original
I have had a look at the scale copter page, that is a brillient, this is not the same , also the blade diameter is smaller, (there is one for sale in Belgium)
I have a set of Sky Crane turbine mechanics on back order from Vario, coupled with the SPH5 I have, there is a possibility that this combination should fit this scale, and the turbine will sit on top and at the front as the full size does
I have done 2 photo shoots on full size Sea Kings, with over 200 photo's,It was my intention to scale this fuselage up by 50%, the governing factor at the moment is getting blades large enough, if this were to happen then it would be magnificent
A few of us have already booked to go to the Jetpower show this year, are you attending again?

Hello again Peter,
Just great ! Can you imagine that none of the big manufacturers like Graupner, Vario etc don’t have done a huge turbine edition of the Sea King or at least a benzin model. What a model this is. I have done a glow version of Century 60 size 5 blade head and it’s a joy to fly it.

To scale this up by 50 % ….wow would be just “out of this world”. Hope you do it !

Jetpower this year: seems that I will not make it. “Wrong date”. What a great event this is and yes, I would really have liked to be there this year too so lucky you !

So, there is one in Belgium….hmm dangerously interesting….

“I only took a few photo's, if you want to see them, let me know”
Would like to see more

Cheers and good luck ! Will follow this tread.

Best regards
Totto

hi peter

yes my crew mate who came with me had her camera i was out for the day with 22B flight at RAF wattisham it was for a insight into the work of the RAF winchman and crew who are trained like myself the winchman is a paramedic and the winch operator is a tech,we spent 5hrs flying that day they fly 4hrs a day for traning so even when they have no emergencys they still get 4hrs in the air, they used me and my mate for winch training we also done a mock serch for a downed pilot this was a decoy with a beacon which was dropped somewhere in the sea by another heli and we had to find it was a very informative day

Hi Cheezdog,

I am also interested in the H-34, I sent an email [in English] to Helifactory.de, asking for more information / prices, but have not had any reply form them.

Have you seen this site? They do a Wessex kit:
