Flew some great flights today, but my problem was this. Three great flights, fouth flight i flicked it into heading hold to give it a wirl for a few minutes and the tail did a BIG wag about every 10 seconds. Flicked it out of HH thinking that I fired it up out of HH I flew the rest of the flight fine, but noticed that the GY401 was giving me the double blink. Making ure on the next flight that it was in HH, i fired it up again and took it out of HH since I prefer to learn with it out. Flew around for a few minutes and then flicked HH again, again it started to wag...about 1.5 feet either way. Quickly flicked it out of HH and it was fine. Flew the rest of the flight great. Landed and the gyro was giving me the double blink again. I cannot figure out why it is doing this. I has been fine for the last 5 gallons of fuel (it is still pretty new). I checked my programming, nothing has changed. can anyone help me here...I'm going crazy trying to figure this out!

do you have a prog. mix on your rudder ???? if so get rid of it !!! next you need to turn in the h.h. go to your gyro sensitivity adjustment... it must be set at 100.. start takeing it down 5 ponts at a time, till the tail stope twiching !!! if you see it drifing to one side it's to low.. the light shoud stay on once you get ridd of any tail rotor curve!!!((NO TRIM))
ONCE YOU DUNN, YOU NEVER GO BACK TO NORMAL MODE AGAIN you see you'll love it.

I had a simular problem once it turned out to be binding linkage so maybe you check that too just to make sure

It was working great for the last while. I have never had a problem with it. I like HH, but found that I need to learn to fly the tail. As for linkages, I have checked and rechecked a couple of times and found nothing yet. I checked my radio programming and it is the same. The strange thing is it started half way through the day. No changes in anything. I was wondering about battery? Anyone know?

How is your radio set up in heading hold vs. non heading hold? What kind of radio?

it is an 8UHPS, non HH is at about 30%, while HH is 70% I think. I will have to check when I get home from work tonight and double check.
