| I put two packs through my Super FP in 5-7 mph winds with 12 mph gusts. One thing about flying in the wind, I always try to fly in different positions in relation to the wind direction. Tonight, I was flying with the wind in my face. I find this the most challenging, especially when flying figure 8s or circuits in which you are turning nose-in towards you. The heli can get pushed towards you rather quickly and you really have to be on top of the sticks or you may end of with the heli bearing right down on you . It certainly makes for some interesting flying and really helps my overall flying skills, IMO.
I planned on flying four packs, but the overcast skies were making it difficult keeping orientation of the heli. I really seem to struggle when flying with overcast skies. It's really frustrating at times. Must be my 45-year old eyes . Oh well, at least I was disciplined enough to call it quits after two flights.
Hopefully, I'm not the only old guy in the E-Sky forums . How old are you other guys? |
